About John Wilkerson
I am a native Texan, being born in San Angelo Texas. I entered the United States Army at the age of 17, and served 3 years. Being a soldier was one of the best times in my life, however my dream was always that of a Peace Officer. After being Honorably discharged from the Army, I worked for a relative, building fence in the Hill Country during the day while I attended a Police Academy at night. I graduated the Police Academy in 2004 and have been serving the people of this great State since. I have worked for county and municipal law enforcement. I currently work for a statewide law enforcement association, a nearby Sheriff's Office and a part time Instructor at Central Texas College. I am married to an amazing woman, Sarah, and together we have 5 children.
